It implies recognizing that, in order to achieve balance, we \u2013 as a global community \u2013 must attend to the specific needs and conditions of each context, which obviously differ from one another. These may come in the form of pre-established terms of reference, or budgets that favor certain areas of development but neglect others, etc.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">In addition, initiatives often have to adapt to <b>external regulations or policies <\/b>that, although sometimes share objectives, <b>are not always relevant<\/b> to their particular situation or context.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">In other words, not all development initiatives and projects have the same capacity to decide or negotiate how to respond to problems according to their specific contextual needs. People are not being able to <b>appropriate their own processes of development equitably<\/b> and, therefore, global development is also failing to be <b>comprehensive<\/b> and <b>relevant to all<\/b>.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a8feadc elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"a8feadc\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Why should we increase the Self-Sustainability of our projects?\n<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7e0fa2b elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7e0fa2b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>\u00a0<\/p><p class=\"p1\">That is why it is so important for each development initiative or project to <b>strengthen its capacity for self-sustainability<\/b>.
